Claire and JR were honestly the best couple to have as my first Upper Shirley wedding clients!! If you remember me mentioning that I had a huge goal for 2019 which was having a wedding at my dream venue and only 2 months later that dream became a reality. Claire and her mom booked me not even a month after I posted a very bold list of 2019 goals. The best part? They were a dream to work with!

I had talked to her on the phone, as well as her mom and a lot of email communication but, meeting them in person was probably one of my favorite meetings. Her parents were so kind beyond words (her dad offered me some of their wine too many times for me to count), her mom wanted to be as helpful as she could be and Claire and JR had had a really great night with friends the night before which made that morning pretty funny! Meeting them all got me even more excited for their wedding that was happening just a few months later!

Claire was so easy going and all she wanted was to have a happy day and marry her best friend. Of course she wanted everything to be pretty, the food to taste good (but, I mean, how could it not when Upper Shirley has amazing chefs?!) and her pictures to be meaningful. Every one of those boxes were checked! Every one of their vendors was perfect, easy to work with and so kind. It also doesn’t hurt that Upper Shirley has amazing staff as well who are always around to help with anything you need.

Claire and JR were married on August 24th but based on the weather they had you would have thought it was late fall…absolutely perfect. There was actually a chill in the air during their gorgeous ceremony! They’ve been married just over 3 months now and I couldn’t be happier for them!
