Alex and Todd- Shadow Creek Wedding

What’s better than shopping the weekend of Black Friday? Truthfully a lot of things but more importantly, Alex and Todds’ Wedding!! It definitely made my Thanksgiving week end with a bang in the most fantastic way! From the details, to the family, to the venue and so much more. It may have been rainy all day but that didn’t stop it from being a gorgeous day!!

I met Alex at another bride and friend of mine’s (Katie) wedding in May. She and Katie went to school together and not a month later Alex contacted me about helping with her wedding! I immediately said yes and truly loved helping her plan her perfect day and see her vision come to life. Every planning meeting lasted longer than we intended because we would end up talking about anything and everything, wedding related or not! From the time Alex booked with me, I was so excited for the day of her wedding.

Alex and Todd got married at Shadow Creek in Purceville, VA and it was absolutely beautiful! They had planned on getting married inside the barn because of it being in late November and the fear of it being cold. This ended up being a great plan since it decided to rain for about 2 days straight! The inside of Shadow Creek is stunning and the flowers done by Rick’s Flowers made the entire place so beautiful. I was amazed by how they transformed the space along with he gorgeous wine colored napkins placed at each setting, gold votives placed throughout the whole room, the hand lettering done by Allison Dash and of course the entire wedding party made the whole room radiate happiness! Their friends had the sweetest things to say about the two of you throughout the whole day, especially during the toasts.

As a planner, one of the most important parts to me besides ensuring the bride is happy, is having an amazing team of vendors to work with. In this case, it was a better team than I could have imagined! I hadn’t worked with any of the vendors before, besides Allison and I would be thrilled to work with all of them again!

Alex and Todd, I am so happy for you and Todd and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of you!
